Meek Mill speaks from prison in rare interview

American rapper Meek Mill spoke out from prison in a new interview released by Rolling Stone, and the Philly rapper revealed why he won't let his family visit. He explained, "I won't let [my family] come. If they see me like this—f***ed-up beard, hair all ganked—then it's like I'm really in here. Which I'm not."

Meek and his manager also spoke about the unrealistic rules his parole officer, Treas Underwood, put on him, which Meek said has happened to countless other men. He revealed, "There's brothers locked down that did nothing to be here but piss off people like Brinkley. I want to speak on this system and what it does to black people. On both f***ing sides of the fence."

He ends his interview on an incredibly criptic note by revealing that he wants to tell the story of his injustice and then move to Atlanta.

"Straight self-hate, man, it makes these people crazy." For a kid from North Philly to come all the way up, then be pulled back down by his own? "Trust me, I'm gonna say something about that. And then, I'm gonna move to Atlanta."
